Rick describes himself as "just a typical geek." He loves tabletop role playing games and writing post- apocalyptic urban fantasy. His book series, After the War, begins 80 years after World War III. The first book is The Demon. In it, humans are rebuilding their society while legendary supernatural beings return. The second book is The Assassin and the Knight, is set 40 years later.
