Leslie Budewitz is a civil and criminal lawyer and the author of The Spicebox Mysteries and The Food Lovers's Village Mysteries, among other books. Her work has been featured in Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine, Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine,Thug Lit, and the Whitefish Review as well as the anthologies Comfort for Cat Lovers and Cup of Comfort for Dog Lovers, Vol. II. She lives in Big Fork, Montana.

Leslie grew up in Billings, and her first real job was at Waldenbooks at Rimrock Mall. She continued to work there or at Hart-Albins Books through high school and during summers through college. Later, she worked at a couple of bookstores in the Seattle area.

She is an author-owner of This House of Books since May 2016.
