Summer Events for Kids: Musical Instrument Petting Zoo
A large number of scientists grew up playing musical instruments. Playing an instrument teaches a lot about time, interval, and basic physics, as well as developing a skill that is probably as old as humanity—appreciation of music. Band or orchestra is a great place to meet peers in a constructive context.
On Monday, August 19, starting at 2 o'clock, Mike Miller, from Eckroth Music, will bring a variety of instruments to This House of Books, where kids can examine them and handle them.
This event is co-sponsored by Eckroth Music of Billings, Montana.
During the week, your best bet for finding a nearby parking space is to try one of the nearby parking garages. Park 3 near the corner of Second Ave N. and North 27th street is nearest, about two blocks from our door and featuring the marvelous mural of Billings History by Terri Porta.
