Book Group: Revisiting Montana 1889

Book Club: Revisiting Montana 1889 at This House of Books, your community-owned, independent bookstore and tea shop in downtown Billings, Montana

On Tuesday, January 15, 2019Rocky Mountain College historian, author, and member-owner Tim Lehman will coordinate our local Billings discussion at This House of Books as the Montana Historical Society live-streams the inauguration of its virtual book club from 3:30 to 5:00. This book group will study Ken Egan's publication, Montana 1889: Indians, Cowboys, and Miners in the Year of Statehood.

Humanities Montana Executive Director, Ken Egan will be on hand in Helena to host the club and to post prompting questions for us. Montana Historical Society's Jeff Malcomson will be the public-historian-in residence and answer history questions from the participants.

This event is organized to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Montana Statehood and to encourage Montanans to revisit our history.
